This is the 3rd order finished for the same customer. Here's the beautifully deep night sky 8mm square blue sandstone I fashioned into a pendant.

Unique Enamel Earrings

This weekly deal is where I introduce my new enamel earrings. At first I wasn't aware of what enamel was made from, I simply adored the look of the pieces therefore bought a bunch of them. I was very interested in learning more about what enamel was formed from as I always like knowing what my jewelry is made with. Enamel is pieces of glass and metal combined to make the individual pieces you are now seeing in the content used to design these earrings. In learning this combination of materials I decided to add some red glass crystal beads to enhance and accentuate what was already in the enamel, the red glass. I made 4 pairs available for this sale until May 12th. On a further note, since Mother's Day is fast approaching, I've gone ahead and started a MOTHER'S DAY SALE. Anyone interested can save 15% on any set or piece of jewelry I've designed shown on facebook or on my website that has a heart. Anyhow, here's a photo of the four pairs of earrings for the weekly deals.

NEW DEAL OF WEEK

There was a lot of work and tons of fun that went into wiring up these babies! These hair pins were made with metal wire wrapped around the pin using green seed beads. I also designed the flower using more of the wire with peach seed beads and silver beads, attached to the green beads on the pin with the wire.  I chose these sweet little pins as my new deal of the week.

Amethyst and pearl spiral earrings.

The original inspiration in making these earrings came from a beading magazine: STEP BY STEP WIRE JEWELRY. Since I'm in the business of making my designs unique and one of a kind, I made a twist on it.....and instead of using a store bought spiral, I made my own using wire. Here's my version of the earrings....actually my original set are more expensive than the ones I'm posting here.                               I made three pairs and have put them as this week's weekly deal. Check it out on my website.

Happy New Year!

It has been quite a busy and hectic holiday season. With my regular job and jewelry business on the side. For the past few months I have made new customers and established returning customers. Last month I started a loyalty program giving savings in the future for past and present customers. The idea has been working out well. All there is left is to work on a more productive and prosperous 2012. Let's all hope we get more of what we want and need this year.

Website news

Now that I've had the old website pro settings moved over to this new one...I have more to play with. The old poetry site is complete gone. This new one attached to this blog has the old one's paid settings which means, there's no more outside advertising and I've got more bandwidth. With that in mind, I've been working on some new pages with some updates.
I've renamed pages, added more content, and added 2 new pages, and I still have some new pages to add on as well. Right now I've published HOME JEWELRY PARTIES  and am working on BIRTHDAY PARTIES. You'll have to come back to see the rest.
Come by and take a look, if you haven't already: www.aminabhimla.com. Let me know what you think.

In addition, I have a book contest going on until November 15th. If you'd like to win one of my books, read the full details here: https://www.facebook.com/notes/amina-bhimla/recieve-a-free-book-autographed-and-dated-personally-for-you/10150315601089763

Hope you'll have a great day!

My website is up!

There's much excitement for me as I finally got my domain registered, and forwarded to my Bravesite pages!
This is where you can find my poetry, jewelry and some artwork posted up. My goal was to integrate all my form of creativity into one home. That home is located at www.aminabhimla.com.
I will give you some secrets into how I got this done in a cheap and effective way. The hosting is done through www.bravesites.com where they also have blogs like this one, and other applications you can use. The hosting is free with some advertising, if you want to go pro, which you can also do for a small price. I got my domain registered with www.hostway.com for a low fee of $9.95. I also got whois protection for a very reasonable price. Check out these places. Bravenet gives you the option of using their templates or your own, their coding or your own html.
It's fun and affordable.
Have a great day!
